Healers of the Desert is a collection of stories that Kathy, a registered nurse and family nurse practitioner has begun to share with the world. Kathy has a diverse background, having grown up in Niagara Falls, New York, and working in Virginia, Saudi Arabia, Alaska and the American Southwest. With her extensive experience in healthcare, Kathy is dedicated to providing insight to wellness, empowering patients to take an active role in their health and healing.

The Beginning....
Before 9-11.....
Having finished nursing school in Buffalo at the Millard Fillmore Hospital, I moved to Richmond, Va. to begin working at local hospitals, where shortly after, I was informed of an opportunity to travel overseas for a job with Aramco, a Saudi Oil conglomerate. I would be tasked with coordinating with local health care personnel, providing for the local population and for employees of the company. With a few of my fellow colleagues, off we went into the heart of a country that was full of mystery, to learn local customs, taboos and a brand new belief system, and to provide our skills as health providers.
